The boys are continuing to improve on a daily basis!!! We received an update last night that Nicholas now weighs 3lb 4oz, and Joseph weighs 3lb 11oz!!! They are really growing at a good pace, and it's amazing just how different they look from one another because of 7 ounces!!! They have been handling their breathing well, as Nicholas remains at 21% or "room air" and Joseph is at 33%. The boys will have a day off from their Epogen medication today, and that will pick up again tomorrow. They let the body get a one day break in between doses. I'm not sure as to why they do this, but I will follow up and let you know! One thing I do know is that I'm not going to question the decisions made by the doctors and nurses in the NICU because they have been amazing in how they have treated our boys!!!
On a side note I have to wish my amazing wife Kalleigh a happy 3rd anniversary! I can't believe how fast time has gone, and that we now have 1 boy for each year we've been married!!! I couldn't have a better partner to go through life with, especially when facing the challenges we have overcome in the past few weeks, and the challenges that undoubtedly lie ahead!!! Kalleigh has been amazing through this whole process, and has stayed strong and positive no matter what kind of day the boys are having! She has also been able to keep Vince occupied and happy too, so she has a lot to handle but is doing great!!!
